2.1 Access to the Site

The Site is accessible free of charge from anywhere with an internet connection. All costs associated with accessing the Site (hardware, software, internet connection, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the user. The Velvet Nest FZ-LLC strives to ensure the Site is accessible at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and may suspend, restrict or interrupt access for maintenance or any other reason, without notice or liability.

2.2 Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, The Velvet Nest FZ-LLC owns the intellectual property rights to, or holds the usage rights for, all content available on the Site, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, icons, and the overall visual identity of The Velvet Nest brand. The Velvet Nest FZ-LLC reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without notice, to suspend, interrupt or restrict access to all or part of the Site; remove any content that may disrupt or cause a technical conflict with the Site; suspend the Site for maintenance purposes; or make any changes to the Site's content that it deems necessary.

3. Liability & Hyperlinks

3.1 Limitation of Liability

The Velvet Nest FZ-LLC cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damage caused to the user's equipment when accessing the Site, resulting either from the use of equipment that does not meet the specifications indicated, or from the appearance of a bug or incompatibility. The Velvet Nest FZ-LLC also cannot be held liable for indirect damages (such as loss of business or loss of opportunity) resulting from the use of the Site.

The Velvet Nest FZ-LLC is committed to protecting the privacy of Site visitors and clients, in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "UAE PDPL") and any implementing regulations issued from time to time.

We use your data to create and manage your client account and bookings; provide cat-sitting services safely and to your specifications; process payments; communicate with you about visits, invoices, and service updates; respond to enquiries; and, where you have consented, send you news and offers about The Velvet Nest.

4.4 Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements under UAE law. Client and pet data is generally retained for the duration of our service relationship and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return as a client; it is deleted or anonymised once no longer needed.

This Legal Notice and Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute relating to its interpretation or performance that cannot be resolved amicably shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
